The Certified Infant Massage Teacher Course (CIMT™) is coming to Shreveport, Louisiana. This Accredited 3-day professional training, taught by Master Teacher Tina Allen, will be held at the Shriners Hospital for Children.

Shriners Hospitals for Children is a one-of-a-kind health care system dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing pediatric specialty care, innovative research and outstanding teaching programs. Every year, the Shriners Hospitals for Children provides care for thousands of kids with orthopaedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate, in a family-centered environment at no charge. It's how Shriners Hospitals has been helping kids defy the odds since 1922.

Children up to age 18 are eligible for care at Shriners Hospitals for Children, if, in the opinion of our physicians, there is a reasonable possibility they can benefit from the specialized services available. Admission is based solely on a child's medical needs. A family's income or insurance status are not criteria for a child's acceptance as a patient. There is no charge for services provided within Shriners Hospitals for Children facilities.

The northwest part of the Louisiana, in and around Shreveport (Bossier City), is a little different than the rest of the state. It’s a mixture of the wide-open Texas spirit and the spicy Cajun attitude. Where cowboy meets Creole. Where spicy Louisiana crawfish meet big Texas t-bone steaks.

Shreveport’s artistic legacy runs deep. They are home to many live theater and symphony performances, and on any given weekend you're likely to find concerts by today's popular artists as well as those by yesterday's favorites to take you on a whimsical trip down memory lane.

The museums showcase Shreveport’s rich history, including their place in musical lore as the place where Elvis Presley got his start on the Louisiana Hayride.
 

While in Shreveport, take a trip down to the Red River, and get ready for good shopping at the Louisiana Boardwalk and exciting gaming at the many casinos. Bring your appetite, because along the river, there is plenty of delicious eating there, too! Eat at the Louisiana Boardwalk or at the casinos – or at any of the other restaurants near the river – and you get a feast of riverfront fun. It's no wonder they do so much on the riverfront – the river is an important part of Shreveport! The Red River is how they got their start when a boat captain by the name of Capt. Henry Miller Shreve cleared a logjam on the Red River in the 1830s, opening the way for trade and leading to the establishing of Shreveport.

Bossier City came along shortly thereafter, bringing with it Barksdale Air Force Base, the world's largest airfield of its time and a key player in today's military.

Finally, an accredited infant massage certification program for professionals, caregivers and those wanting to begin a new career in the wonderful world of infant massage.  The Liddle Kidz™ Foundation Certification course is an intense, fun and effective way to master the core skills of infant massage.

Founded by master teacher and philanthropist Tina Allen, the Liddle Kidz™ Foundation offers a new, comprehensive, research based training course and teaches students what they really need to know to become a professional infant massage teacher.

Any experienced infant massage teacher will tell you that there is a world of difference between learning how to massage a baby from a book or DVD, and knowing how to provide the best care to meet a families needs, however, there are few opportunities to learn the skills they really need from a working healthcare professional who has provided infant massage education throughout the world.
