		“It has long been my dream to bring nurturing touch to children everywhere.” says Tina. “This year, that dream is starting to come true, with the launch of the Liddle Kidz™ Foundation – North American Touch Tour!” We are in full swing with the Liddle Kidz™ Foundation North American Touch Tour™ which kicks off in Los Angeles in March and will continue throughout the United States and Canada. Some of our many tour stops will include: San Francisco, Vancouver, Seattle, Boise, Omaha, Des Moines, New York and Toronto. During the Liddle Kidz Touch Tour™, we will be offering 3 day Certified Infant Massage Teacher Trainings (CIMT™) as well as limited 2 day Comprehensive Certified Pediatric Massage Trainings (CPMT™). If you’re curious when the Liddle Kidz™ tour bus will be making a stop near you, check out our ever growing schedule of training dates online. “Children are our greatest gift, treat them with extraordinary care!” In 2005, Tina launched the Liddle Kidz™ Foundation to focus on her innovative approach to children’s health. This approach has allowed her the unique opportunity to educate families and professionals throughout the world in the many benefits of nurturing touch. At personal request, Tina has taught in England, France, Sweden, Canada and Thailand. A widely known expert in her field, Tina has appeared on NBC, The Learning Channel’s “Bringing Home Baby”, KCET and PBS’ “A Place of Our Own”. She is featured as the Infant and Children’s Massage Expert on Canadian Parents and Parent Guide Canada. Tina has also received recognition as First 5 California’s Champion for Children, was honored with the Richard Ryder Award for her dedicated and passionate service and is a 2009 Massage Therapy Hall of Fame Inductee. Tina spends time, when she’s not traveling, between Southern California and Vancouver, Canada with her musician husband Shad Hills and their three adorable kitties.

				Massage for growth and development Babies and children simply love to be touched. In fact, they thrive on it and it is a crucial part of their development. Children need physical contact for healthy growth and development, and massage can play an important role in nourishing this growth.

				Massage for bonding Bonding is a process, and is not something that takes place within a few moments of time or is limited to happening within a certain time period after baby’s arrival. For many families, bonding happens naturally as the result of everyday care giving. It is quite possible you may not even know it is happening until you observe your baby's first smile, make eye contact, and suddenly realize that you're filled with love for your new baby.

				Communicating with your baby As any new parent soon learns, your baby is born with the ability to cry, which is one distinct way they’ll communicate with you. Your baby's cries generally tell you that something is wrong in their world.

When teaching my first class, I saw the delight of the babies and parents to this wonderful experience.

What have you learned from a family (or baby) in your classes? ? I have learned that infant massage is a wonderful way for parents to form a nurturing bond with their children.

What makes you happy? The sound of the ocean crashing against the California Coast, hiking in the Marin Headlands and the gratitude expressed by the many wonderful families with whom our practice works to enhance their children’s health care experience.
