The Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist Course (CPMT) is coming to Mount Kisco, New York. This Accredited 2-day professional training, taught by Master Teacher Tina Allen, will be held at Finger Lakes School of Massage.
The mission of the Finger Lakes School of Massage is to prepare students for a career in Therapeutic Massage and Hydrotherapy with the capacity to provide leadership and vision in the profession.
Founded on the principle that teachers and students work and learn best together in an atmosphere of trust, cooperation and integrity, co-founders Cindy Black and Andrea Butje created FLSM out of a passion for massage as a transformative force, emphasizing the efficacy and importance of creating a livelihood out of that passion. Current owner David Merwin actively fosters that legacy, with Black and Butje serving as consultants.
With the charm of a small town, but the convenience of a city, Mount Kisco is a tranquil destination. Mount Kisco was founded in 1850, with Kisco being derived from an Indian word –either kiskamenahook meaning “settlement near a brook” or cisqua meaning “a muddy place.”
Located in Weschester County, Mount Kisco is less than an hour outside Midtown New York.
Walk the gorgeous grounds of the Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts Inc., a classical music performance venue as well as an art museum. Or take a step back in time with the Muscoot Farm an early 20th-century interpretative farm museum.
In the mood for some Farm-to-Kitchen food that nourished your body and soul? Ladle of Love is a small storefront squeezed into an out-of-the-way corridor off South Moger Avenue offering an ever-changing selection of homemade soups, stews, salads and sandwiches.
If you want to know what love tastes like, just ask for a sample of one of Ladle of Love’s soups. Clearly, they are the shining stars of the menu with multiple daily choices like Chicken and Dumpling, Curry Zucchini Bisque, Harvest Celebration, Tuscan Tomato, and Chicken Marsala.
Customers usually stop by for take out or call for delivery of lunch or dinner orders (Love on the Run), but there are a few tables inside and outside to enjoy a quick, healthy home cooked meal. The bistro-like touches of a cobble stone floor, a border of white wainscoting, gold-hued walls, and wrought iron accents create a comfy and welcoming atmosphere.

Finally, an accredited pediatric massage certification program for healthcare professionals who wish to expand their practice by providing massage therapy and nurturing touch for pediatric clients. The Liddle Kidz Foundation Certification course is an intense, fun and effective way to master the core skills of pediatric massage.
Founded by master teacher and philanthropist Tina Allen, the Liddle Kidz Foundation offers a new, comprehensive, research based training course and teaches students what they really need to know to provide pediatric massage.
Any experienced professional will tell you that there is a world of difference between learning how to massage a child from a book or DVD, and knowing how to provide the best care to meet a child’s needs, however, there are few opportunities to learn the skills they really need from a working healthcare professional who has provided pediatric massage education throughout the world.
As a CPMT, you have the special opportunity to provide specialized care through touch therapy to children who need it most.
