The Certified Infant Massage Teacher Course (CIMT) is coming to Minneapolis, Minnesota. This 3-day professional training, taught by Master Teacher Tina Allen, will be held at Lift Kids.
Lift Kids is a Minnesota-based nonprofit service organization taking action to Educate and Empower without concern for boundaries, borders, or divisions of any kind. They go to the places where children are starving and dying every day and build Lift Kids Villages that both alleviate immediate suffering by housing, feeding, and clothing kids, as well as empower them through education and entrepreneurial training. Through the building of these villages, kids learn the skills needed to both survive and thrive, and their community benefits from long-term sustainability.
Minneapolis and Saint Paul are progressive cities with a dynamic vibe and a whirlwind of creative energy. Not only can you spend the day shopping along the second most popular downtown pedestrian mall in the country, Nicollet Mall, a 11-block thoroughfare with traffic limited to service vehicles and pedestrians, or at the famous Mall of America, at night you can party like it’s 1999 at First Avenue. This iconic rock club was made famous by Prince in the movie “Purple Rain” and hosts national touring artists all year long.
Minneapolis is also birthplace of Charles Monroe Schulz creator of the Peanuts! And believe it or not, Schulz's drawings were first published by Robert Ripley in his Ripley's Believe It or Not!
A must see is the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden which is home to the monumental fountain-sculpture ‘Spoonbridge and Cherry’ by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen. While at the Walker Art Center check out ‘Design for the other 90%’ ,a landmark exhibit wherein Designers, engineers, students and professors, architects, and social entrepreneurs from all over the globe are devising cost-effective ways to increase access to food and water, energy, education, healthcare, revenue-generating activities, and affordable transportation for those who most need them. And an increasing number of initiatives are providing solutions for underserved populations in developed countries such as the United States.
Finally, an infant massage certification program for professionals, caregivers and those wanting to begin a new career in the wonderful world of infant massage. The Liddle Kidz Foundation Certification course is an intense, fun and effective way to master the core skills of infant massage.
Founded by master teacher and philanthropist Tina Allen, the Liddle Kidz Foundation offers a new, comprehensive, research based training course and teaches students what they really need to know to become a professional infant massage teacher.
Any experienced infant massage teacher will tell you that there is a world of difference between learning how to massage a baby from a book or DVD, and knowing how to provide the best care to meet a families needs, however, there are few opportunities to learn the skills they really need from a working healthcare professional who has provided infant massage education throughout the world.
As a CIMT, you have the special opportunity to impact an infant and their family for a lifetime.
