The Certified Infant Massage Teacher Course (CIMT) is coming to the Arkansas capital of Little Rock This 3-day professional training, taught by Master Teacher Tina Allen, will be held at the Touching America School of Massage in Maumelle, just 15 minutes from historic downtown Little Rock.
Touching America School of Massage, takes great pride in their heritage and reputation. Established in 1954, they are the oldest and most recognized school in Arkansas. Their reputation of producing top therapists is one they take very seriously. Their clinic is staffed with Touching America graduates that have gone above and beyond state requirements to specialize in their fields of expertise.
You have to see the "Little Rock" if you're in Little Rock. It's the city's name sake. Don't worry, it's not out of the way and it won't take you forever to get there. You can see it in Riverfront Park. Check out the map to find the exact location of the marker. Going to visit in the morning of your day here will put you where you need to be for the afternoon.
Although the River Market District is jumping at night, it's the perfect place to go for a morning breakfast. May through October the Farmer' Market is open at 7 am with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. There are also a few specialty shops and restaurants open for breakfast. Get your breakfast to-go and take a short hike to banks of the Arkansas River. Nothing is nicer than sitting outside and having breakfast the Arkansas way.
Arkansas has two capitol buildings, an Old Statehouse (now a museum) and the newer Capitol Building that looks very similar to the Capitol in Washington DC. You can take tours of both of these or just admire the architecture.
The Old Mill is actually in North Little Rock, but it'll be worth the trip to the other side of the Arkansas River. It's located at Fairway Ave. & Lakeshore Drive and it's not actually all that old. It's a replica of an old-water-powered grist mill and was featured in "Gone With the Wind." It's a beautiful place to spend an hour (or hours). It feels like you're stepping back in time.
Nothing defines a city like its cuisine.
Dining out in Little Rock is a Capital idea. Whether you like homestyle Southern cooking, prime aged steak, fresh seafood, fusion cuisine, or more of a heart-healthy fare, Little Rock's chefs offer the state's best selections making Little Rock "the dining capital of Arkansas."
Finally, an infant massage certification program for professionals, caregivers and those wanting to begin a new career in the wonderful world of infant massage. The Liddle Kidz Foundation Certification course is an intense, fun and effective way to master the core skills of infant massage.
Founded by master teacher and philanthropist Tina Allen, the Liddle Kidz Foundation offers a new, comprehensive, research based training course and teaches students what they really need to know to become a professional infant massage teacher.
Any experienced infant massage teacher will tell you that there is a world of difference between learning how to massage a baby from a book or DVD, and knowing how to provide the best care to meet a families needs, however, there are few opportunities to learn the skills they really need from a working healthcare professional who has provided infant massage education throughout the world.
As a CIMT, you have the special opportunity to impact an infant and their family for a lifetime.
