Does anyone know where I can learn massage for a baby with Cerebral Palsy. I want to massage my son because I heard that it can really help with all kinds of different things. Does anyone have any sggestions of where to learn or what to do?

Hi Gayle,

Massage can be very beneficial for children who have been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy.

I would be happy to try and match you with a certified pediatric massage therapist in your area who can demonstrate massage and touch therapy practices which may be appropriate for your son. Of course the CPMT (Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist) will speak with you, arrange for you to complete a pediatric massage intake form and ask for a physician/medical consent prior to demonstrating techniques so they can design the best plan for your son's massage therapy program.

Please feel free to email me offline with your contact information and location, so I can help you find someone to work with you appropriately.

All my best!
