Wonderful Event for GLBT Parents in Los Angeles!
A Wonderful Event for GLBT Families (or expecting families) in Los Angeles
Coming up on May 5, 2007 is the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's (LAGLC) Family Services Program's annual "Parenting with Pride: GLBT Family Conference" as well as The Pop Luck Club's annual GLBT Parenting Resource Fair.
The conference is an all day event that includes more than 20 workshops for parents and parents-to-be. And the Pop Luck's Resource Fair will be bigger and better than ever, with more than 50 exhibitors for the entire LGBT parenting community, and an extended time 3 hour time slot to address feedback we've received at previous Resource Fairs.
Commissioner Amy Pellman will be this year's conference keynote speaker. Commissioner Pellman sits in the downtown Los Angeles Family Law Court and has experience with surrogacy, adoptions and family law issues as they affect GLBT parents and their children. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear her speak about her experiences and the current legal issues that affect our families.
“Parenting with Pride” will be held from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday May 5th at SelmaAvenueElementary School, 6611 Selma Ave. in Hollywood.
Parenting with Pride Conference Schedule:

1:45 - 3:00 Workshop Session 3

I presented two workshops on "Bonding with Infants & Children through the use of Massage" at this conference last year, as well as exhibited during the resource fair. This event brings out the finest in presenters and exhibitors to share information with the GLBT community. If you're thinking of attending, just do, it's a great way to spend your Saturday!
