Default Dad missing from New babe's life

So my new babe Maria is delightful though her dad isn't participating in her life. He was okay at the beginning and now he is gone. He says he wants to be out on his own and didn't want a babe. I am not sure what to do and feel pretty afraid to raise Maria alone. I moved to London to be with sweetie when we had our babe and now here I am, alone. I am originally from Los Angeles and don't know if I should move back home. If I do I know he won't be a part of her life at all. I am just really confused. Has anyone else been in this situation?

I haven't been in this situtaion before, but I do know that if yu are there feeling lonely and sad, it's really hard for your baby too. Babies pick up on how we're feeling so if you are not feeling yourself, and are not happy it's not the best situtaion to be in. Has anything changed with maria's dad sine you last wrote? Do you have any friends/family where you are? I think this sounds like a really tough situation. I just know if you're not happy, it is important to find a way to be happy so you're baby will be happy too.
