Default This is a tough time for kids

I received a call yesterday from a good friend of mine who is going through a divorce. She has two small children and they are having a really tough time not being around their dad so much. He moved out a few weeks ago and it is really tough for them to understand what's going on. They are going to get some family counseling to help work through these issues, but still the kids need love and support right now.

Just wanted to share and say "don't forget to hug your kids today!"

This is so true. My parents got divorced when I was six years old. It was really hard for me and my sister. My dad of course moved out and then it was hard for my mom to keep paying the bills so we could stay in our house. So all in the matter of a year I lost my dad, my house and had to change schools. Now I can look back and realize my mom was upset and trying to deal with her own stuff but it was so hard then. She was always crying and never had time for us.

Hi Veggiemom,

I just read what you wrote and I'm sorry you had such a hard time when you were so little. I'm sure everything is ok now but when I look at my daughter and think of things like this it just makes me sorta sad.
