Default What is Attachment Parenting?

Is anyone here practicing "Attachment Parenting"?

What do you think it means to practice Attachment Parenting?

Default I am

I love to hold my babies and keep them close. Anytime they cry I hold them close. I always use baby slings. I think people are wrong when they tell you that you shouldn't pick up your baby everytime they cry. I don't think it's make them a spoiled brat but actually makes them cry less and they are happier. Just my two cents.

Default Way to go

That's just how it's done Melinda. Your baby is truly going to benefit from your motherly love.

We were in an AP chapter when Eldest was about 4m, but I never got around to reading the quantity of books on the subject and we never really practiced all the 'mantras' for AP. In hindsight I wish we'd clung to that group more.

I've really been enjoying some tidbits from Gordon Neufeld. Within the realms of my understanding of AP, I think his ideas and observations fit very well. I have to admit that it only strengthened my arguments for homeschooling my kiddos as well. *grin*
