The Certified Infant Massage Teacher Course (CIMT) is coming to Des Moines, IA. This 3-day professional training, taught by Master Teacher Tina Allen, will be held at Iowa’s longest running massage school , College of Massage and The Healing Arts Center.
Imagine a place where “Welcome" is the word on the mat at the door and the pervasive feeling throughout. Massage and healing techniques are taught as ways to "ripple-out" and change the world. Learning, acceptance, compassion, and service are the basis of professional theory and a way of life. Deb Elliott imagined such a place and created College of Massage and The Healing Arts Center.
Can you imagine, learning to help others while helping yourself? Imagine changing your career, changing your life and being a part of this place!
As Iowa's capital city, Des Moines is a hub of government action, business activity, arts and cultural affairs. There are amazing attractions, events and activities to keep you entertained year round.
Recognized by international art critics as a world-class museum in the heart of the Midwest, the Des Moines Art Center has amassed an important collection with a major emphasis on contemporary art. The collection’s overriding principle is a representation of artists of the 19th and 20th century, each through a seminal work. This accounts for an impressive collection that ranges from Edward Hopper’s Automat to Jasper Johns’ Tennyson, Henri Matisse’s Woman in White, Georgia O’Keeffe’s From the Lake No. 1, and Francis Bacon’s Study after Velásquez’s Portrait of Pope Innocent X.
There's always something going on at The Playhouse: performances, classes, trips to New York... all at your source for theatre, The Des Moines Playhouse.
A Saturday morning spectacular, the Des Moines Farmers Market brings fruits, vegetables, breads, cheeses and wine, hand-crafted apparel, together with music, magic and more.
Finally, an infant massage certification program for professionals, caregivers and those wanting to begin a new career in the wonderful world of infant massage. The Liddle Kidz Foundation Certification course is an intense, fun and effective way to master the core skills of infant massage.
Founded by master teacher and philanthropist Tina Allen, the Liddle Kidz Foundation offers a new, comprehensive, research based training course and teaches students what they really need to know to become a professional infant massage teacher.
Any experienced infant massage teacher will tell you that there is a world of difference between learning how to massage a baby from a book or DVD, and knowing how to provide the best care to meet a families needs, however, there are few opportunities to learn the skills they really need from a working healthcare professional who has provided infant massage education throughout the world.
As a CIMT, you have the special opportunity to impact an infant and their family for a lifetime.
